Croatia 17/10 to win against Portugal in this evening’s Euro 2016 knockouts

Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Croatia to win against Portugal
Odds:

Croatia square off with Portugal at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in the last-16 of the European Championships tonight, and are favourites to progress into the quarter-finals given their superior form compared to that of Fernando Santos’ side.

Croatia booked their place in the knockouts after finishing top of Group D with seven points from a possible nine. They beat Spain to leapfrog the defending champions at the summit, and could be dark horses to reach the final given the favourable side of the draw they’re in.

Croatia have the likes of Switzerland, Poland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Hungary and Belgium for competition in their half of the draw, and would fancy their chances of besting the opposition as a result. Portugal stand in their way but could struggle given their form in the Euros this summer.

Fernando Santos’ men qualified for the last-16 of the European Championships with just three points from as many games. They failed to win a game in the group stages, but are just 90 minutes away from a quarter-final place so their performance at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis today should be more convincing.

Nevertheless, Croatia have been the team to beat the Euros this summer, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 17/10 for Croatia to win against Portugal to reach the quarter-finals.
