Remi Garde says the Coupe de France is Lyon s main target ahead of their quarter-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
The sides meet at the Parc des Princes in a rematch of the 2008 final, which saw Lyon claim the championship 1-0 in injury time.
Lyon were knocked out of the Champions League by APOEL earlier this month and are out of the running for the Ligue 1 title, trailing leaders PSG by 13 points, leaving the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue as their only chances for silver ware this season.
The Cup is one of our main targets. The draw was not really kind to us as we will play against a very successful team, Garde said.
Paris at home have been in another league since the start of the season. The game will be very challenging but we are up to it.
We hope to go through this quarter final because we are two games away from a trophy. So, we are eager to do well.
Lyon were surprisingly knocked out of the Champions League on penalties by minnows APOEL in the round of 16, but Garde believes his side have recovered since that loss.
I think that my players were hit in their pride after the defeat in Nicosia, he said.
Since that we have shown a greater tactical discipline, a better sense of togetherness, and more rigour. Those changes have seen us bare the fruits of our labour.
